The Department of
Veterans Affairs must run efficiently and according to law, but in this case,
it emerged as the adversary of the veterans, not their representatives. This,
too, cannot be. The veterans won a long fight they should not have had to wage. The VA got it right in the end. Its next mission is to get it right in the beginning."
Now, we need an investigative reporter to tell "the rest of the story."
